You know what a really incredible thing about Marvel is? They start at the beginning. They don’t just do group movies, they go individual. You hear everyone’s story. You know how Steve and Bucky go back to the beginning, you know why Loki was hurting, and how Tony doesn’t actually have that high of an opinion of himself, and how Civil War affected T’Challa and his family, and how Peter Quill and the guardians are so much more than just outlaws, and how Dr. Strange has grown as a person, and how Peter Parker truly needs to help people like Tony does. You know everyone’s story. And because of that, you know everyone’s reasoning behind the choices they make, which makes it so much more painful when characters fight one another, because you can see how, for that character, they are completely in the right. People say “oh you can skip that movie it isn’t plot important” but it is. They all are. Because the MCU isn’t just one story. It’s a collection of everyone’s.
